The objects of the Charity are:
The United Charities of St. Leonard Shoreditch are an amalgamation of 50 separate charities that, from the 16th through to the 21st Century, have striven to support the people of Shoreditch.
Work was done in the fields of Education and Health, but above all to provide Housing for the needy and in one way of another, the Trustees have provided Almshouses for over 400 years.
Today's Trustees aspire to adhere to certain basic principles, assistance on the basis of need, equal opportunities and freedom of conscience, democratic, responsible and responsive conduct of our work and commitment to our residents.

Treasurer
Janet has lived in Shoreditch most of her life. Before becoming a Trustee Janet was employed as Clerk to the Trustees in which capacity she served the charity for over 20 years. She is a valued trustee due to her wealth of knowledge and experince of the Charity.
Trustee
Peter became a Trustee in 2021. He is a Haringey resident and his background is in Education. Peter works hard to support the local community and is a keen artist.
General Manager & Clerk to the Trustees
Lorraine is responsible for the management and up keep of the Almshouses. She advises the Trustees on stategy and governance and supports the residents.
